I just called Canon and they said I should bring it in for service. However, after reading the manuel further, I think it's completely normal. As you said, the viewfinder counter is always at "F" until the end. I didn't realize that and Canon guy didn't know that either... funny. Something I didn't mention was the blinking motor drive mode. There is this little notes in the manuel saying it would do it when it's at low temperature. Never had that before esp at this temperatuer (around 10C). Anyway, bottomline, I was just being a bonehead. Sorry people. The camera is really working fine...

Now do you mean the screen on the outside of the camera or in the viewfinder? If it's the viewfinder, it always says F on the 1N until you get to less than 10 frames on the roll. If it's doing it on the external screen, I've never seen or heard that one before. All I can say about that is call canon.
