Heh heh, thanks. I guess since I prefer the * button as default, and haven't found viewing DOF to be any real help, and since looking at the rectangle just works so nicely, I forgot that :-) My new 10D's got a dedicated button, but I haven't used it yet. Maybe if i remember it I can try it and make some use of it. Picking my focus point just forward of where I want my DOF centre usually gives me good maximum DOF when I want it. And of course since I can bump up the ISO shooting at F16 is pretty easy no matter the situation, at least with the shorter lenses where I'd want big DOF. Mine's a Japanese EOS 55 but I think except for the panorama function it's the same camera. Oh ya, it's a nice black colour, that counts.
