Hi Arnoud,

Congrats, this is an incredible lens!  My experience with my own EF 300 2.8L
non"IS" was that the gels don't last as well and are somewhat less sturdy.
I so I finally bought a couple of screw on filters and I did use them a bit
but found that unless I had to use a filter on this lens I usually just
didn't.
