Hi Chip,

I'm not planning on using a lot of filters on this lens but I do a lot of
wildlife photography in South Africa, and there in the daytime using a
warming filter can just warm the shot up a little so you get a useful
picture. I try to take most of my shots in the early morning and late
afternoon, but I don't put away my camera in the daytime so filtering is
sometimes necessary. After having ploughed/read through the google newsgroup
archives I was afraid that gel filters wouldn't be the way to go, and your
comment only strengthens that belief. Bugger, that means I'd also have to
buy the screw-on filter holder. My wife will not be amused :))
