How it currently works at my house in Dallas. UPS leaves the package at the door without signature, once without ringing the bell. Fedex leaves a door hanger. One option is to sign the door hanger & they'll leave at the door, this time. #2) Sign to always leave it at door or some other location. #3) Pickup up at the depot.
If it's high dollar package I ask it Fedex. There's some bad UPS camouflage shown in this post.
