Just two weeks ago I had a buyer with 0 feedback, newly registered, who wanted to buy my item off-auction and have it shipped to Indonesia. He wanted to pay by credit card directly, no paypal, no bidpay. Plus, he said he would give me a $400 bonus if we concluded the transaction the same day. I found out that he registered himself as being in Argentina. I reported this to ebay and it seems that when ebay started the investigation he was no longer registered. This scam was quite obvious, but others may be more refined. As I mentioned in a previous post a few weeks ago, on-line fraud is going through the roof. More than ever, we need to be careful with who we deal with.
