Indeed, and you can find it back in the specs too under AF working range (EV at ISO with standard chart) EOS 1v: EV 0-18 EOS 300v / Rebel Ti: EV 1-18 That's one full stop difference!? But there's also a difference in sensor, number of focusing points, calculating speed, signal transfer to the lens etc...
