Dear list members,
Last weekend, I was shooting in the mountains. And when I got back and
checked my slides, I found something very strange:
It seems that most (or all) of the photos that I shot with my Sigma
2.8/70-200 have a significant loss of sharpness in the right third of
the slide. Left and middle are tack sharp. As far as I have checked my
slides, I can say that all (or most of them) slides that have been
taken at 200m, focus to infinity (f-stop 4 or more) show this - whether
using a tripod or shooting freehand. Photos taken a short distances,
portraits etc. seem to be ok.
This definitely sounds like a lens problem.
Anyway, I would appreciate any hint. Ah, what I forgot to say: The Sigma 2.8/70-200 fell down some months ago and has been repaired - Sigma Germany told me that only the zoom ring was blocked...
And here, obviously, we have the reason for the lens problem.
