I have an ST-E2 that I use to trigger a 550EX. Is there a way (using an
accessory or attachment I suppose) to use the ST-E2 to trigger a non-Canon
studio strobe? Specifically a Britek PS-1800. And I mean trigger the PS-1800
without also using or triggering the 550EX.

Why try to make it do something it wasn't designed for? There are IR flashes you can attach to your camera that shoot out a blast of IR light that the slaves will pick up.

Or you can put an IR filter (or just use exposed camera leader) on a regular flash unit.

If your slaves aren't sensitive enough, get a Wein Peanut Sensor, I find them sensitive enough to go off with just IR light.
