Comments wanted on my 'possible' new webpage gallery style. I'm not a fan of thumbnails, and wanted an easy way to better show off my images. So I made up some simple templates for my most common sized images that makes it easy to show them framed, matted, and with numbering and copyright sig.
After all, if they're supposed to be fine art, I should show them as such. Right? I'm debating on the grey overlay background, I think it fancies it up a bit. I still like the orange pebble finish though for the underlay. The grey was made to look a bit like an index card and make text more readable if I want to write outside the frames. http://www.kjsl.com/~jbdavis/galleries/new_stuff3/new_stuff3.html Now I have to rework my entire site of course. I'm going to cull some poorer images, and really tidy it up, likely with about 6 images per page. These are 700 pixels on the long side. A size I consider big enough to appreciate but not likely big enough to make a print with.
