Well, unlike the high-end/pro digicam's, the low-end range doesn't
have to be tested in the field, by pro photographers, at pro
sport/news events....so much less chance of rumors to start in the
first place....:))

The D30 was sold within a year (and replaced way too late), why
couldn't the D10 face the same fate....;))
Nah, there has been an analog 300/500/3000/5000 low-end range around
for quite some time, so the nomenclatura still holds, without
conflicts.
Canon needs 3 levels of digicams just like the analog range, even
though the timing/frequence of successor models must drive the
marketeers crazy....:))
