I tried the EOS 300D in the tent Canon built for the IFA fair in Berlin. I guess this thing will sell like sliced hot bread.
I liked the view finder of the EOS 300D until I looked into its counterpart in the 1Ds. What a difference! Much larger. I also liked the new Sony 828. This will definetely find lots of buyers. The Canon G5 with the wide angle converter (and adapter) that gives it an equivalent focal length of 28mm is probably the same length as the Sony that has the 28mm built right into it! Plus Sony claim that they have true TTL flash meetering with the 828. How did they do that? I did not like the shutter sound of the new Nikon D2H. I prefer the sound of the Canon 1Ds. If I was SIGMA I would imediately come up with a line of lenses made for the 1.5 or 1.6 crop factor.
