Their shop is what's called a brick and mortar shop. It cost big bucks
to have this on what's called real estate. How can you even ask them
to match a mail order place? They provide what's called service and
help by a real person that lives and works in your neighbourhood. If
you're not saving more than a few bucks, you might reconsider buying
at such a shop.

The thing is some branches do price match mail order places, just last night
I heard of Jessops price matching a web only retailer on a 300D at 780.
When you can get an EOS 300D for 750 from one bricks and mortar outlet
(with a web site) in the UK, cheaper still if you import from Europe and
Jessops want 900 then that counts as more than "a few bucks" in my opinion.

Although they do have a few good staff they also have plenty who are only
interested in selling you extended warranties and own brand filters to go
with your expensive purchase. As they are now by far the largest camera
retailer in the UK I'm sure they get a good discount from Canon.
