I used to have a mirror lens with T2 that worked fine on a
D60 until I tried a 1.4x converter on it.  I got the same 
Err01 message.  The converter obviously trips the lever
and the camera then expects a chipped lens to be
mounted.

Didn't happen on the film body I had at the time.....
