I've got an A-1 and an Elan II film camera, but this is my first venture into 
the digital EOS. A good friend of mine shoots with a D1 and has been sold on 
the Canon line since he owned a D60 so I just followed suit when I decided to 
go digital in the SLR format. He had done his homework and was so satisfied I 
didn't see the sense in reinventing the wheel :-)

I've been happy with it so far although I'm having my share of learning curve 
trials. I thought I was victim of the "focus issues", but I'm becoming more 
convinced it was me and not the camera. I wasn't used to sharpening and it 
seems much of my problem has to do with just plain missing the focusing point 
on fast moving objects. I do some writing for model airplane magazines so I 
shoot a lot of r/c models and John had such good luck with his EOS and the L 
series lenses I went that route too, although with the 10D. I'm finding that 
John is a lot better shooter than I realized now that I'm trying to shoot 
those photos too :-)
