Hey! Did you consider using "regular" flash units with a flash meter? You can get a couple (3-4) of flash bulbs (you can only set full and 1/2 power) for the price of one 550EX. And it gives you faster recylce times, works on 220 AC, is much more powerful than 550EX. And, not so portable, but depends on what you are trying to achive. 550EX with an umbrella is not really that powerful.
