Just calibrating your printer won't help. You have to calibrate both your
monitor and printer. Some people also calibrate their scanner. Personally, I
can live with the standard calibration file that came with my scanner. There
are many solutions out there for calibration. For calibrating the monitor I
like the Spider. For calibrating the printer I like the EyeOne. The Spider
can only be used for calibrating monitors (CRT & LCD) whereas the EyeOne can
be used for calibrating both the monitor and printer. I have not tried the
latest version of EyeOne but if they have improved the monitor calibration
this is a great one-shop solution.
