I got one of these batteries to save a few bucks. Now it's acting up. When inserted in camera it sometimes shows a discharged state. Putting it in the charger and it shows it's fully charged. Back in camera it looks charged. Later it shows discharged. Turn off back on, shows OK. My Canon battery has never shown this problem. I'm going to try and get my money back.
Goes to show folks, stick to Canon's own stuff. The couple bucks you save might end up costing you a bundle.

I have 5 Canon batteries of two different types, and 5 Lenmars, including in each case some BP-511's. One Canon has given up, and another seems to be fading. The Lenmars are fine.
Over the years the only thing better about OEM batteries that I have seen is the profit margin. If a battery from Lenmar or other reputable third party is available, it will always be my first choice.
