Unless the data-transfer speed is also doubled or quadruppled, there 
is no way this will work....it would be a backwards move.
The best Canon can do is 'keeping up' with incrementally increasing 
data-transfer speeds.
Applies even more to the 'sports-photography-camera' 1D of course.
