Hi,

I'm considering starting to do some street photography, something to get me more used to my camera. I'd like to do the digital equivalent of shooting 3 rolls of film a day which many of the pro's that I admire seem to do. (not that I'm a pro, but you get the idea)

As such I'm in the market for a new camera bag that will hold my camera and my other essentials that a commuting business type carries. I think that the Domke 802 would be about the right size but no one stocks it locally so I can't stuff it with my camera and the other detritus (phone, iPod, calculator, pencil, two pens & knife) to see.

What I need to carry is a Digital Rebel or Elan 7 with a 50mm f1.4 lens and a medium sized (6.5 wide x 9.5 high x 2 inches thick) day-planner. I want the camera to sit on its side so I can easily turn it on and grab the right hand side grip. While the specs seem to imply that it will fit I'm concerned that the lens and the planner will overlap and the protrusion will hit something and damage the camera/lens.

I'm hoping that someone has this bag and can give me a yay or nay.

With the additional depth that the bag has I'll stuff a flash or beanbag underneath the camera and cover it with a foam pad. I'm also planning on getting an insert so I can separate the camera from the other stuff in the bag.

Lastly - has anyone seen the 'emerald edition' bags? Adorama has this in stock but from the web I can't tell if it looks good or looks tacky. The sand colour in their photos comes across as almost pink online - not like my F-6 bag in real life.

thanks in advance

david
