Oh, what I do currently:
when I download my EOS images, and I have enought to put on a CD, I burn a CD with
images and do 'dir /s /b' to a file called the same as the CD label. (which is
IMG-YYMMDD). When I search for a specific image, I do a 'grep -i searchtearm *' in my
indexes directory (where all dir dir /s /b files are stored). I use that for binary
files as well. Of course, it does not let me search custom comments and exif data (yet
:)).
