Gone are the days when a company like Canon could
manufacture and sell a camera like the FTb for a
decade with onlyl very minor updates. It's a
cut-throat, competitive business, and the fact that
most functions are now implemented in electronics
makes it possible to design, test and implement
changes much more rapidly.

It's good, because we continually have the opportunity
to get increased functionality at, frequently, lower
prices. It's bad because the resale value of our
purchases also declines very rapidly.

My 2 cents worth...

I don't suffer from insanity... I enjoy every minute
of it.
