It's bad because the resale value of our purchases also declines very rapidly.
For those of us that like to stay a step or 2 behind the state of the art and buy used, it rocks! ;-)
If you think you feel bad, look at how the price of manual focus Nikon film gear has fallen over the past six months! I can find nice F2's for less that $200... yet I have read that it would cost over $3000 to build one today.
