I'm ashamed that no one on the list has commented on the fact that you found a wife who talks you INTO buying camera equipment. Mine spends hours trying to talk me OUT of buying camera equipment.
Buy an electric guitar and practice amp. She'll BEG you to go back to cameras. They're LOTS quieter. :-)
