Pros on the 1D:
Faster autofocus
Faster response time
Faster frames per second
Faster LCD preview
Better controls
Better feel

Cons on the 1D:
Heavier
More expensive

If you think you need 1 class performance you would be making a mistake in
getting anything other than the 1D. Since you have a D60 the upgrade to a
20D would be an extremely good one for you but the 20D cannot compare to a
1D. The only thing the 20D might have is slightly cleaner images since it'll
be using a newer sensor and noise should be lower. The 1D is going to have
less noise than your D60, too.

An upgrade is definitely in order. It just depends on what kind of shooting
you do to make the choice of which body to get.

And, lastly, once you buy a 1 series body you'll never want to shoot
anything but. All other bodies are slower both in focus and response times
and it'll drive you crazy to shoot a non-1 body. It's an upgrade that is not
easy to return from.

Hello all you high rollers, ordering the Mark II's.

Having a D60 for the past two years, I'm thinking of investing in one of the
cast off 1D Canons that you pros are looking to upgrade. What performance
can I expect from the change up? Am I making a mistake in not waiting or
looking at the 20D's? What should I be watching out for??

Thanks for your advise.
