That's amazing. 2 years ago I would have bet heavily
against digital progressing as rapidly as it has. If
Ilford, which is pretty much a specialty manufacturer
selling to committed photographers, can't make a go of
film then film's days are truly numbered.

Mike Rice, the owner of Fullerton Camera, told me last week that a couple of the local junior colleges have completely gotten out of darkrooms in their photography programs. If the student market isn't there, I think a large part of the heart of monochrome is going to go south.
