Are you serious? Does it matter if the last three pins are taped over?

I haven't noticed any real battery difference after getting the Kenko.

My auto off changes depending on what I want. I turn the camera off
usually between uses. But I might leave it on for a time while
shooting birds. Then at times I walk around with the camera and put it
on something like 10 minutes off. I have used 2 minutes off for some
times. I just can't say what my auto setting is it changes so.

Fact is, shooting birds or any wildlife, you have to have the camera
ready. If I'm in a location and ready to shoot, my camera is on and
ready. If I'm ready to move on, and the camera goes back into the bag,
it is turned off. I used to have the camera set for auto off to
always on and used the switch. But lately I've found the auto off does
have it's uses for those times when you're shooting something and you
can turn it on and get ready.
