Hi Bob M, I think that at 40X you are hitting the wall in terms of ROI with an EOS 10D. The EOS 1D, 1Ds seem to like it as fast as you can get them though they are starting to slow down by 60X but they still go faster with 80X CF cards. I'm using 40/5X-80X cards in my EOS 1D and EOS 1Ds bodies and there is not that much real difference in the camera write speeds in the real world between 40/45X and 80X cards from what I can see. The upper limit for the EOS 1D mkII has not yet been hit as the fastest cards are 80X and the mkII shows no signs of slowing down.
