Exactly, as I have mentioned here before. I only need a bit of a
tighten to lock the zoom from dropping. I don't really need it when
shooting unless I'm shooting upwards. Wipe and clean the barrel often.
Avoid the beach and blowing dirt.

Thanks for a live demo of the problem, sorry to hear it's so
expensive. Check a used lens carefully :-)
