I agree. For one thing, Elements doesn't have curves. Or the new Shadow/Highlight adjustment, which I find very useful. Just to name a few.

Not to mention the vastly improved and expanded hi-bit capabilities of CS.
Between the expanded hi-bit features and the addition of the very
convenient
Shadow/Highlight adjustment feature I went for the upgrade to CS from
7.01.

I have tried the demos of both, but that's all.
I have used Paintshop Pro for years, but I do like Adobe's levels
implementation.
I haven't gone digital yet, but am thinking of a 20D sometime in the next
six months.
I don't know what the new features in Elements 3 will be, but CS sells for
about the same as a 300D in the UK.
Guess I will live with Canon's supplied software, no matter how bad it is.
