Sony supposedly has a solution for part of that one--they've been demonstrating a *black* projection screen. Under normal light, it's black. It only reflects three narrow frequency bands--the red, green, and blue used by common projectors. So it's a lot less sensitive to ambient light. You'll still have some issues with whatever the projector equivalent of Dmax is, but those shouldn't be *too* hard to solve over time.
