Although I don't like the extra steps with RAW (spend all day on the computer at work 
as it is), I find myself shooting raw for all but general "point and shoot" stuff.  On 
one of my best images to date, I found that the white balance difference between 
"cloudy" and "shady" to be significant enough that I'm glad I didn't have the camera 
set to auto & jpeg where I would have been stuck with the default setting.  With the 
raw image software from Canon, I was able to get the best looking shot with no image 
quality loss.  I couldn't have done that with Photoshop/jpeg.
