Just to be certain that everyone understands: The 20D
lockup being discussed is NOT an ERR 99 situation. A
lockup with ERR 99 can generally be cleared by
removing / reseating the lens, and/or by cleaning the
lens contacts.
The 20D lockup gives no error message. Everything
appears normal, but the camera won't fire. Removing
the battery has cleared this in every case I've heard
of but one.
