Xmm, in fact about a half year ago when I first time considered and
evaluated MF options on teh market given their huge pricing nosedive, I
once was pointed out to Leafscan 45 and even was able to figure one for
sale locally in my country.
However what put me off was a requirement for that GPIB interface that
sounds to be a pain in the butt. No any contemporary PCs offer such
thing, neither add-on cards except of these legacy card neither of
which apparently supports PCI bus, ATI only.
Going to LS 45 I would likely to locate some old PC with ATI slots, to
put that card into. Besides, once it would making problems, I would
expect having troubles to locate a substitutions.
Besides, I'm not that sure would I be abel to locate a support for LS
45 in the future once I would need a repair or parts replacement,
especially considering my non-US residence.

Having all that in mind, I was aware about the exceptional performance
of this scanner.

regards, Alex
