LOL - It was pink when I got it, I only painted it white so you would buy it. I had some success with the 2X in Yellowstone this year on a 300mm, but my subjective opinion is that the 100-400 with a 1.4x is sharper than the 300 with a 2x. Even a white 2x. I ended up trading the 2x towards an 85 1.2L.
