I recently bought a used 70-200mm L (non-IS) lens on ebay that was owned by a freelance newspaper photographer. There is paint wear and wear on the gold electrical contacts but the lens is overall in nice condition. The glass is perfect.
If I were to send the lens to a Canon Service Center for a general inspection, removal of internal dust, lubrication and replacement of the contacts and the distance window (it has a little crack), roughly what kind of money are we talking about? I am going to make the assumption there is nothing broken or worn inside. Just wondering if I can afford it. Thanks, John Lovda __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
