Just remember that if you've been using a 1D, any and every point-and-shoot is going to disappoint in terms of ability to find focus quickly and to fire quickly. Shutter lag makes me avoid point-and-shoots with a passion. But it all depends on what you want to use it for.
I'd like to have a pocket camera for those times when I don't have my EOS with me. That happens to be much of the time I'm out. Many times I see a photo and don't have a camera. So having a camera no matter how much lag it has or how lousy the AF, is better than nothing.
whilst they aren't as quick as an slr modern digi compacts are *alot* faster than they used to be.
I'd go and try a couple you might be pleasantly surprised * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
