Agreed - a 100mm (equivalent) Macro was missing in the APS-C sized sensor market.
Was there any word on price, maybe it's cheaper.
Doubtful - it has USM, FTM, lifesize ratio, a 7 blade
barrel aperture (whatever that is), the photo has a
metal mount which would mean it is really a premium
(although non-L and non IS) segment.
according to eos magazine it's going to be �350 (ukp) which strikes me as very costly. Certainly more than the Tamron 90mm DI Macro is. It seems odd that all ef-s lenses seem to be what I guess could be considered over priced...
