EOS from the D60 to the 20D?

I'm curious, it's been almost exactly 3 years since the D60 was 
released.  In some ways the 10D-20D progression reminds me of the D30-D60 
progression.  I'm sure some of you have shot both the D60 and the 20D.  How 
has image quality progressed at this level?  I know there have been a lot 
of improvements in functionality, speed, etc. but how has image quality 
changed?  is it dramatic?  (I haven't shot with either, but sometimes 
consider buying a used D60,) I'm guessing one big area is reduced noise at 
high ISOs, but what else?
