I was out shooting when suddenly my 10D went ape***t
with err 99. In the past, I just turned off the camera
and back on, problem solved. No such luck this time. I
tried everything that I could think: change lenses
(with camera off and on), clean the contacts, update
the firmware, change cards, etc. Whenever I push the
shutter, err 99, every time, and then I must turn the
camera off and on again. I also get this error when
using the remote switch. So I can't take any pictures
now, at all.
Anyone experienced this before, this severe? Any
suggestions as to what I can try before I take it into
the shop? It's not under warranty anymore, so thought
I'd ask the list first. Plus I go on a trip beginning
next week, and I can't get to a repair shop until a
few days before leaving (if I take it in, I'm assuming
they'll keep my camera at least until after I get
back...) but I'm really hoping to have it for this
trip (and save on repair costs)...
Any offered help, advice, etc. is warmly appreciated,
Thanks,
Marty
