To Tom and the group,
Willoughby's is indeed an old line photo shop here in NYC. When I first set up my studio in the early '70s, that's where I bought all my darkroom equipment. At that time there were a number of good, pro level stores clustered around the Herald Square area (Broadway and 32nd St). The main rival to Willoughby's was Peerless, like Gimbels was to Macy's.
Things change, and the retail energy has gone to the large supermarket and mail order place, B&H. WIlloughby's is still here, but in a much shrunken role.

I'm going to take the plunge and buy a Canon 20d. I've been looking at pricing on the net and notice a camera store out of New York that's supposedly been in business since 1898 called Willoughbys. They have all the 5 star ratings from cnet, biz rate and my simon. The price of 1298.00 for a body only, with USA warranty and all the accessories sounds really tempting. I usually buy from B&H (there price 1369.95) The savings of $70.00 could almost pay for a media card. Anyone heard or done business with them? Or should I just go with the reliable on that I know of (B&H)
Thanks Tom
