Dear Steve,

I assume you are looking for posing suggestions, but without knowing what the garden looks like, I can offer little. If the garden is well laid out, you might consider a high angle shot, shooting from a ladder, to show both people and surroundings.

For close-up shots I suggest is that you use a diffuser for the strong summer sun, especially on older subjects. Also consider back-lighted people with reflector and/or flash fill.

I have a shoot coming up in May of a retired couple. Most of the shots will be of the lady and her flower garden. I would really appreciate any creative ideas along these lines. I will do my best to time it NOT at mid-day! Other than a close up of her cupping a flower in her hands, I seem lost on coming up with some good ideas for photos. Thanks so much in advance for any ideas and tips.
Steve
