Pros: Camera +BG-E2 handles better with heavy lenses, e.g. F/2,8 24-70 mm L Batteries have never run out on me, even after 3 long photosessions. You can run it on one battery and charge the other. Camera handles better in portrait mode. Cons: Not really rock-solid connection between Camera and BG-E2 on a tripod. A Really Right Stuff L bracket helped there, though. You look like you're from the press with a camera this bulky. Have been asked repeatedly. HTH!
