I did the research for my 10D and discovered that I had to triple the
cost of the card to get a noticeable speed improvement. The fasts cards
were only about 33% faster in the 10D than the slowest (at least as I
read the reviews).

If you read between the lines, the 80X reference of the Lexar cards is with
their WA (write acceleration) technology, which is not available on Canon
cameras, I recall the Nikon camera does have this WA capability.
