Hi all Having just bought a canon 20D, the new bodies interest me less than the new lenses. The 24-105 in particular is something that I'd be intested in, I love the 24mm look on full frame and shoot provia still.
According the fotografi.no the list UK price will be (10,000 norweigen kroner) ~800 pounds for the 24-105 F4L IS, which is quite a jump up from the 400 odd pound 28-135IS which this might replace for many people. Can anyone workout if the lens body extends, as it is unclear from the images. http://www.dpreview.com/news/0508/Canon/24-105-front.jpg eg the small gap between the lens label and L red ring and the filter hood mount might be too allow the lens to extend, in which case I'd be less interested. Given that the 17-40 and 70-200 do not. Nice lens and bound to provoke lots of conversation. 17-40, 24-105 and 70-200 all f4, too much overlap ? 16-35, 24-70 and 70-200 all f2.8 too heavy or mix and match... cheers Gavin On Monday, August 22, 2005, at 12:38PM, Cotty <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >EOS 5D: > ><http://www.dpreview.com/news/0508/05082209canoneos5d.asp> > > >EF 24-105 f/4 L IS USM and 70-300 f/4-5.6 IS USM: > ><http://www.dpreview.com/news/0508/05082207canonlenses.asp> > ---- Gavin Bell e - me at gavinbell.com w - takeoneonion.org (weblog) w - gavinbell.com * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
