Subject: Re: Wide-angle & DSLR (was: EOS Moving to Canon for Digital
I do find it hard to believe both will survive side by side for ever
more ...
Come to think of it, there's something distinctly unpleasant about
walking round a zoo with two house bricks hanging from a strap round
your neck ...
Bob
Years ago I used to go around with my trusty X700 and a bag full of heavy
lenses, and then wonder why my shoulder was hurting. Nowadays, I'm more
respectful of my one body, and although I took a camcorder & 2 EOS cameras
(30V for wide-angle slides & 10D for digital) plus 2 sets of lenses on
holiday last week, I carried just one kit when away from the car.
(I bought the 30V a short time ago, and must say I'm am impressed with its
range of features in a relatively light weight body. Exposure metering for
slides is particularly good. If only my "pro" EOS3 had been that good
straight out of its box...)
I'd love an EF 300 f2.8L and at last I've seen one advertised at an
"amateur affordable" price, but when I remember its weight and my shoulder
problems, sense starts to creep in, as I already own the f4L. I'll let
you
know if I do succumb to the temptation!
Malcolm,
If you shake of the lust, perhaps you would share the whereabouts of this
"amateur affordable" lens?
Comments like that just make you want it even more, don't they <g> ?
Sorry,
CraigZ
