While doing some research on ruggedized (tablet) PC's[*], for 
navigation in offroad vehicles, I started wondering if Canon ever 
rated their bodies and/or lenses with an official IP-rating[**]?
If only starting with the 1V, with its rubber lens mount seals?


[*] gotta love those Xplore ix104 units with IP67 protection....:))
(seems the older model (PIII/866MHz/256MB/20GB) was dumped on the 
market due to a large cancelled order, and can be had for 1/4 of the 
original price....anyone using one of these for image storage?....:))
