Just in case there are other non- Windows/Mac users out there, Canon has for some reason seen it fit to pack those in a rather strange way, as if designed to make life harder for non-supported platforms. (I use Linux and have no Windows or Mac machines.) The Windows exe contains two self-extracting archives within each other: the outer one is UPX, which is OK, but the inner one is made by StuffIt in such a way that it can't be easily unpacked (StuffIt is proprietary and they don't support unpacking self-extracting archives with command line tools). :-( This makes no sense to me, as there is no size savings in the double compression. The Mac version however is easy, although it also uses StuffIt, the archive is separate from the extractor: just use hexbin -3 and unstuff. -- Tapani Tarvainen * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
