Hello,
I reveiced my (second hand) 1D Mark II last friday and I had some time during the weekend to play with it.
First impression: very fast, very rugged (even more than my 1V, I feel), and much more silent than a film SLR body.
But it seems that I have to learn a lot: first I shot with standard settings and was quite disappointed about the results. The images had low contrast and seemed to be very flat. But after playing around I found some settings that are more satisfying to me.
But still, there are some questions left and I wonder if anyone would share his or her knowledge with me.
Are there existing profiles that I can upload to the camera in oder to simulate certain film emulsions i.e. Fuji Velvia?
When I shoot RAW+JPG and I transfer the files to the camera, I can only see the JPGs and not the RAW files. Am I missing something? I checked the Manual several times, but didn´t find anything.
And my last question at the moment (slightly OT): what kind of software do you use if you want to interpolate the images to a larger format? Photoshop? Or is there a third party software which provides better results?
Thanks for your help,
Marco
