Thanks. If you think about the 'freeze' part, then you either have that
at the beginning of the 'movement' part or at the end. Some pics might
look better with first curtain. Hey, now *middle* curtain - that exist
anywhere?

To get you in the ball-park, I shot those footy pics on manual, with
aperture about f8, and shutter at about 1/8th or 1/15th I think. ISO was
nominal - about 400, and most were shot moving the camera about as well
as the subject, handheld without looking through the finder. Lens was a
Sigma 14mm 2.8 (I have since sold it). My wides now are a Pentax 15 3.5
and EF 20 2.8 and EF 24-70 2.8.
